Where the Sidewalk Ends
A great book filled with poems, including one tittled the same as the book itself. Also a banned book and also written by Shel Silverstein.
A Light in the Attic
A wonderful poem book for all ages. Some poems are sad, happy, imaginitve and crazy. Some poems in this book even manage to slip a little life lesson into it. Written by Shel Silverstein
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
This fun loving childrens book is about a magical place where food falls from the sky. Its bound to make any one crave lunch time. A great read for children, although most adults seem to enjoy it too.
If you Give a Mouse a Cookie
The cutest little book about the adventure of what happens if you give a mouse a cookie and all the things that might transpire from such an innocent indulgment. There are many other versions including "If You Give a Moose a Muffin" and "If You Give a Pig a Pancake" but, I personally enjoy this version the most, and I hope you will too.
The Seven Silly Eaters
This book has and always will be one of my favorite childrens books. About seven very persnickety children who all like their certain foods and wont have anything else. And on their mothers birthday (who has to go through alot with seven children) they make a cake, putting together all the things they love most to eat and it makes the most beautiful cake. This book is so sweet and meaningful and makes it seem like having seven children might actually have a benifit to it.
Super Completly and Totally the Messiest
A super completly and totally adorbale book where this really crazy and entergetic girl makes a mess everywhere she goes, the story is told by her big neat freak sister who eventually admits that she loves her just the way she is.
Today I Feel Silly
This book is such a good childrens book. Many mothers love reading this to their children beacause it goes through just about every emotion a 5 year old can think of and then some. It helps with kids identifying how they feel and in the back it even has this pin wheel where you can match the differnt eyes and mouths of each emotion to however you want.
Tell Me Again About the Night I was Born
This books story is based off the classic thing that every little kid eventually ends up asking their parents. How they were born, what that night was like, and they never want you to skip out on the details. This book is very sweet and sincere and as you read along and follow through the night this little girl was born it will make you wish your mommy was sitting there with you, telling you the story of your "special night".
Marsupial Sue
Sue is a young kangaroo that wishes to be something else, something different, bigger and better and experience new things. But in the end she realizes that theres nothing better than being and loving yourself. Being you is what makes you you and no one can take away your individuality but yourself.
